VESTAMID® LX9012 has been especially developed for the extrusion and co-extrusion of ski upper and decorative films. Decoration on the bottom side of injection molded sports shoe soles is a further application field. Films made of VESTAMID® LX9012 feature high transparency, good screen and sublimation printing, outstanding scratch resistance, and excellent impact strength at low temperatures. The semi-crystalline compounds based on PA 12 absorb only low quantities of water. Therefore, molded parts show excellent dimensional stability, constantly high impact strength, low coefficient of friction and good chemical resistance at changing ambient humidity.

VESTAMID® LX9112 BK is a heat-stabilized, conductive polyamide 12 compound, especially developed for the pore-free extrusion coating of steel tubing. Compared to commonly use conductive extrusion compounds VESTAMID® LX9112 BK is distinguished by a significant lower melt viscosity and respectively by outstanding extrusion characteristics even in very thin coatings. Steel tubing coated with VESTAMID® LX9112 BK meet the requirements of the US automotive industry to prevent electrostatic charge caused by flowing liquid fuels. Due to the excellent impact strength and the good abrasion and chemical resistance of polyamide 12 the seamless coating with VESTAMID® LX9112 BK improves the corrosion resistance of steel tubing significantly.
VESTAMID® L LX9117 BK Europe
VESTAMID® LX9117 BK is a glass-fiber-reinforced, electrically conductive PA12 molding compound that was developed in particular for the injection molding of connecting elements for fuel line systems (such as quick connectors). The electrical conductivity of VESTAMID® LX9117 BK changes only slightly on contact with fuels, even if they contain alcohol. This is of great importance for use in fuel-conducting systems. The material also has the advantageous properties characteristic of polyamide 12. In general, the material is suitable for sport and lifestyle applications and specifically for shoe soles that require good fatigue performance and bonding ability to TPUs. VESTAMID LXM4 only absorbs small amounts of water. Therefore, components made of this material have exellent dimensional accuracy under changing ambient humidity. The material provides a wide processing window in the injection molding process with a high ratio of flow length to wall thickness. The use of colorants can change the property values.

VESTAMID® Terra DS16 NC is a medium-viscosity PA 1010 basic polymer. VESTAMID® Terra DS16 is semi-crystalline, which is the reason for its high mechanical resistance and chemical stability. It absorbs only little water. As a result its mechanical properties vary little when exposed to changing environmental humidity, and the material features a high dimensional stability. VESTAMID® Terra DS16 can be used to manufacture films with good transparency. The high melting point of VESTAMID Terra DS16 compounds results in a high heat deflection temperature that can be advantageous for some applications. VESTAMID® Terra DS16 occupies a position between the high-performance long-chain polyamides such as PA 12 and PA 1212 and the standard polyamides PA 6 and PA 66, which have a shorter chain length. VESTAMID® Terra HS1851 is a glass fiber-reinforced, heat-stabilized, medium-viscosity PA 610 compound for injection molding application. The material contains about 20% glass fibers, an ageing protective agent and processing aid for a fast and even form filling. The carbonamide groups (-CO-NH-) of the polyamides form hydrogen bridge bonds between the chains of the macromolecules, thereby substantially promoting crystallinity and increasing their strength, melting point, resistance to chemicals and even water absorption.
