Polyaryletherketone (PAEK)

Polyaryletherketone (PAEK) - Polyaryletherketone, is an advanced thermoplastic resin having both ether and ketone linkages in its chains. PAEK materials are semicrystalline aromatic polyesters with excellent mechanical and dielectric properties. Polyaryletherketone is also highly fire-resistant, has good chemical resistance, and can be used for high temperature applications. Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is the most common and widely sold member of the polyaryletherketone family.

Polyaryletherketone (PAEK) was first prepared in the early 1970s, but the initial process and results were limited in several ways. In 1977 further development by ICI involving polyetherification reactions were eventually successful in creating the first commercial version of polyetheretherketone (PEEK).
