EBANTIX® E1240

Generic Family: Ethylene Butyl Acrylate CopolymerSupplied by: REPSOL
EBA REPSOL EBANTIX ® E1240 is a copolymer suitable for general extrusion, injection moulding and compounds where good processability, flexibility and very good mechanical properties are required. The butyl acrylate content is 12%. It contains antioxidant additives.

Applications:
  • Extrusion (profiles, sheets).
  • Injection moulding.
  • Microcellular foams.
  • Compounds and masterbatches.
  • Cables.

Recommended melt temperature 180°C. EBA copolymers exhibit excellent thermal stability, which allows higher processing temperatures if needed. Processing characteristics of E1240 are similar to LDPE and conventional polyethylene extruders are recommended. Processing conditions should be optimised for each production line.
