PEXIDAN® SX505NT

Generic Family: Ethylene Propylene RubberSupplied by: SACO AEI Polymers
Silane crosslinkable EPR compound for low and medium voltage power cable insulation

SX505NT pre-grafted base is mixed with a crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM493 or CM497, in the ratio 95:5. The SX505NT:CM493 or SX505NT:CM497 systems have passed type-tests for use up to and including 36 kV. The graft compound contains a non-staining stabilizer and an effective tree retarder, giving outstanding long term retention of dielectric strength. This compound is typically used in conjunction with crosslinkable semi-conducting material for conductor and insulation shields. Crosslinking is obtained by exposure to moist or hot water immersion only.
