Jamplast JPQ

Generic Family: Syndiotactic PolystyreneSupplied by: Jamplast, Inc.
JPQ is the commercial name for a semi-crystalline thermoplastic polymer product line based on syndiotactic polystyrene. The syndiotactic polymer structure has a crystalline melting point of 270°C and significantly improved chemical resistance (1) compared to conventional styrenics. JPQ also has excellent electrical properties, moisture resistance and processability. JPQ is processed by molding or extrusion and is being used in electrical, electronic, automotive and consumer and industrial applications.

JPQ is a 40% glass filled, ignition resistant polymer used in electrical and electronic applications.

(1) NOTICE: Wall thickness, part design complexity, fabrication techniques, polymer flow length, molecular orientation, temperature and other conditions can affect part performance greatly. For accurate prediction of performance, fabricated parts should be exposed to the reagents at the concentrations and under the conditions expected to be encountered in the actual end use environment.
