DESCRIPTION: Epocast® 1610-A1 epoxy syntactic is a very low density, self extinguishing, one-part compound with a long storage life at room temperature. It can be co-cured with composites in 90 minutes at 250°F (121°C). Epocast® 1610-A1 epoxy syntactic is well suited for replacing pre-cured foam or wood blocks in honeycomb panels. After curing under vacuum pressure, the lightweight epoxy produces high-strength areas for insert potting with no mark off. Epocast® 1610-A1 epoxy syntactic cures to an off-white color and is qualified to BMS 5-28, Type 10.

DESCRIPTION: Epocast ® 1614-A1 epoxy structural syntactic is a low-density, frozen, one-component material for use on honeycomb composite parts requiring high compressive strength at service temperatures up to 350°F (177°C). Epocast ® 1614-A1 epoxy structural syntactic may also be used for fastener or attachment potting and panel edge reinforcing. It is qualified to BMS 5-28, Type 14, Classes 1 and 2 and other specifications.

Epocast® 1618-D/B epoxy syntactic sets quickly at room temperature and is qualified to BMS 5-28, Type 18, Class 1. It is the suggested alternative for Epocast® 1616-A/B epoxy syntactic, Epocast® 1618-A/B epoxy syntactic, and Epocast ® 1620-A/B epoxy syntactic systems.

The epoxy syntactic is supplied ready to use (after thawing) as a gray-colored, frozen, 32- or 64-cubic inch (524 or 1,049 cm 3 ) patty which does not require any weighing or mixing. DESCRIPTION: Epocast® 1628-A epoxy resin is a soft white paste that, after blending with yellow-colored Epocast® 1628-B hardener, becomes a pale yellow, ultra low density epoxy syntactic for edge reinforcing of honeycomb structures. The lightweight epoxy paste can be spread with a putty knife or trowel to fill honeycomb core sections or edges of composite sandwich constructions. Epocast® 1628-A/B epoxy syntactic can be easily sanded or machined after cure. Epocast® 1628-A/B epoxy syntactic is qualified to BMS 5-28, Type 28.

DESCRIPTION: Epocast® 1629-A/B epoxy syntactic is a beige-tan, self-extinguishing, ultra-low density system for edge reinforcing of honeycomb structures. It can be extruded or spread with a putty knife and resists slumping on vertical surfaces. Epocast® 1629-A/B epoxy syntactic sands and machines easily when cured. It is a non-PBDE containing material and can be used as a replacement for Epocast® 87005 A/B-80 epoxy syntactic, Epocast® 87005 A/B-60 epoxy syntactic, Epocast® 87269 A/B epoxy syntactic, Epocast® 87005 A/B-61 epoxy syntactic, and Epocast® 87005 A/BE- 60 epoxy syntactic.
