DeWAL DW 400 Europe
DW 400 is a skived Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene film (UHMW), available in both black and natural, that has been put through a densification process to enhance the physical properties and surface smoothness. DW 400 has extremely high abrasion resistance, exceeding the abrasion resistance of steel in some cases. By adding the densification to the process, the DW 400 has increased tensile values as well as increased toughness. UHMW offers a broad range of chemical resistance and a low coefficient or friction making it an extremely versatile engineering material for many severe service applications. DW 400 can be used in chemical, fuel and hydraulic hoses, linings for chutes to decrease friction and wear as well as a great material used in conjunction with rubber belting surfaces.
DeWAL DW 401 Europe
Skived Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene film (UHMW) UHMW has extremely high abrasion resistance, exceeding the abrasion resistance of steel. This coupled with broad chemcial resistance and low coefficient of friction makes UHMW an extremely versatile engineering material for many severe service applications. Application examples include inner and outer surfaces for potable water, chemical, fule and hydraulic hoses, bottom surfaces for skis and snow boards as well as linings for chutes to decrease friction and wear. Also widely used in automotive weatherstrip applications to reduce friction
DeWAL DW 402 Europe
Skived Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene film (UHMW) UHMW has extremely high abrasion resistance, exceeding the abrasion resistance of steel. This coupled with broad chemcial resistance and low coefficient of friction makes UHMW an extremely versatile engineering material for many severe service applications. Application examples include inner and outer surfaces for potable water, chemical, fule and hydraulic hoses, bottom surfaces for skis and snow boards as well as linings for chutes to decrease friction and wear. Automotive weather stripping.
DeWAL DW 402B Europe
Skived, carbon filled UHMW (Ultrahigh Molecular Weight Polyethylene) Film. The carbon type and level achieve conductivity sufficient for static dissipation applications. Applications for this product include die-cut spacers for video cassettes, electrical conductivity for static dissipation and applications involving the need for high abrasion resistance.
DeWAL DW 402P Europe
D/W 402P is a microporous film produced from Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW) . The process yields a material with highly uniform pore structure in the X, Y and Z directions. D/W 402P has an open cell (tortuous path) structure with a void volume of 30 % to 50%. The material can be rendered hydrophilic through surface treatments and by plasma surface modification. Application areas include gas and liquid filtration, medical diagnostic test kits, wicks, low dielectric constant wrap for microwave cables, batteries and other applications where porosity, inertness, toughness and accuracy of gauge are important.
DeWAL DW 404BNC Europe
D/W 404BNC film is skived from UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) that has been compounded with a small amount of carbon to render it black but nonconductive, producing a "windowless", truly opaque film. The carbon also provides UV resistance. D/W 404BNC is used as a wear surface where high abrasion resistance is required, such as the outer covering on hoses for severe service applications. It is also used as an anti-squeak tape for automotive and other mechanical applications.
DeWAL DW 405 BNC Europe
DW 405 BNC Film is skived from UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) that has been compounded with a small amount of carbon to render it black. The carbon also provides UV resistance. DW 405 BNC is used as a wear suirface where high abrasion resistance is required, such as the outer covering of hoses for severe service applications. It is also used as an anti-squeak tape for automotive and other mechanical applications.
DeWAL DW 482P Europe
DW 482P is a porous film produced from skived Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW). The process yields a highly uniform pore structure in the x, y, and z directions. The porous film has made hydrophilic by incorporating a surfactant into the porous structure. DW 482P has an open cell, tortuous path, with a porosity up to 35%. Application areas would include liquid and air filtration, vents, diagnostics, wicks, and support media for finer membrane structures, where porosity, chemical inertness, and mechanical strength are important.
