Ertalyte® PET FG Africa & Middle East
Ertalyte® Polyethylene Terephthalate Polyester PET FG (Food Grade)is an unreinforced, semi-crystalline grade that is produced from proprietary resin grades made by Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials. Characterized by its excellent wear resistance, low coefficient of friction, high strength, and resistance to moderately acidic solutions, this grade is capable of sustaining high loads, and retains more of its original strength up to 180° F / 85° C than nylons or acetals. Due to these characteristics, and this grade’s FDA (compositional FDA 21 CFR § 177.1630, except blue) and EU 10/2011 food compliant composition, Ertalyte PET FG components are a favored solution for bearing and structural applications throughout the pharmaceutical, food processing and packaging, and oil and gas industries.
Ertalyte® SLP PET-P Africa & Middle East
This Ertalyte® SLP has mainly been developed for the use in passive yaw slide pads in wind turbines with better tribological properties in comparison to standard Ertalyte®. However, it also exhibits a high compressive strength which makes it suitable for the manufacture of mechanical precision parts which have to sustain high compressive loads.
Ertalyte® Sterra™ PET Africa & Middle East
Ertalyte® Sterra™ Polyethylene Terephthalate Polyester PET is an unreinforced, semi-crystalline grade that is produced from proprietary resin grades made by Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials. Characterized by its excellent wear resistance, low coefficient of friction, high strength, and resistance to moderately acidic solutions, this grade is capable of sustaining high loads, and retains more of its original strength up to 180° F / 85° C than nylons or acetals. Due to these characteristics, Ertalyte Sterra PET components are a favored solution for bearing and structural applications throughout the pharmaceutical, food processing and packaging, and oil and gas industries. As part of the Sterra product portfolio, this material contains recycled content and exhibits a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to similar materials derived from non-recycled feedstocks. For details, please refer to the respective environmental data sheet.
Ertalyte® TX Food Grade PET-P Africa & Middle East
Ertalyte TX Polyethylene Terephthalate Polyester PET FG (Food Grade) is an unreinforced, semi-crystalline grade that exhibits superior dimensional stability, excellent wear resistance, a low coefficient of friction, high strength and rigidity, outstanding stain resistance, and great chemical and abrasion resistance. Due to Ertalyte TX PET’s FG low moisture absorption rate, this grade’s mechanical and electrical properties are unaffected by moisture, which gives this grade better wear and inertness over nylon and acetal products, and also a lower wear rate than unmodified polyesters. Due to these characteristics, and this grade’s FDA (compositional FDA 21 CFR § 177.2470) and EU 10/2011 food compliant composition, Ertalyte TX PET FG components are a favored solution for use in applications that involve high pressure and velocity conditions, and environments with soft metal and plastic mating surfaces where noise abatement is critical.
Ertalyte® TX PET-P Africa & Middle East
Ertalyte® TX Polyethylene Terephthalate Polyester PET-P is an unreinforced, semi-crystalline grade that exhibits superior dimensional stability, excellent wear resistance, a low coefficient of friction, high strength and rigidity, outstanding stain resistance, and great chemical and abrasion resistance. Due to Ertalyte® TX PET-P's low moisture absorption rate, this grade's mechanical and electrical properties are unaffected by moisture, which gives this grade better wear and inertness over nylon and acetal products, and also a lower wear rate than unmodified polyesters. These characteristics make Ertalyte® TX PET-P ideal for use in applications that involve high pressure and velocity conditions, and environments with soft metal and plastic mating surfaces where noise abatement is critical.
