Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS): Techtron®

Product Availability Product Description
Techtron® 1000 PPS Africa & Middle East
Techtron® 1000 Polyphenylene Sulfide PPS shapes exhibit outstanding dimensional stability due to their minimal moisture absorption and low coefficient of linear thermal expansion, and easy machinability to close tolerances. Due to these characteristics, this unfilled grade is ideal for structural applications in corrosive environments, and for precise tolerance machined components.
Techtron® GF40 PPS Africa & Middle East
This 40% glass fibre reinforced grade offers a higher stiffness and creep resistance than Techtron® PPS and has a much better dimensional stability. This grade is very appropriate for structural applications carrying high static loads for long periods of time at elevated temperatures. The suitability of Techtron® GF40 PPS for sliding parts, however, is to be carefully examined since the glass fibres tend to abrade the mating surface.
Techtron® HPV PPS FG Africa & Middle East
Techtron HPV Polyphenylene Sulfide PPS FG (Food Grade) is an internally lubricated, EU 10/2011 and FDA Compliant grade that offers superior wear resistance, outstanding chemical and hydrolysis resistance, excellent dimensional stability, great electrical insulating and dielectric properties, a low coefficient of friction, and inherently low flammability. As a reinforced, internal lubricant filled grade, Techtron HPV PPS FG closes the gap in performance and price, between standard thermoplastics and advanced engineering plastics. For this reason, this diverse grade is ideal for wear components such as bushings and bearings, CIP wash down parts, and pump, valve, and compressor applications throughout the aerospace, food processing, and oil and gas industries.

Techtron® PSBG PPS Africa & Middle East
Techtron® PSBG Polyphenylene Sulfide PPS compression molded shapes are internally lubricated and carbon fiber-reinforced, allowing them to exhibit excellent wear resistance, outstanding dimensional stability, and extreme chemical and corrosion resistance. This grade in particular possesses the lowest coefficient of linear thermal expansion of all Techtron® PPS Grades, allowing it to excel in wear applications where an electrically conductive material is required. Other application examples include bushings and bearings, lantern rings, and pump wear components throughout the oil and gas industry.
Techtron® PSGF PPS Africa & Middle East
Techtron® PSGF Polyphenylene Sulfide PPS shapes are compression molded and glass filled, giving them extreme dimensional stability and chemical and corrosion resistance. Due to these characteristics, Techtron® PSGF PPS is often chosen as a solution for structural components such as pump housings, valves, and compressors within the oil and gas industry.
