MHCompounds Wire & Cable TD 150 FR Natural North America
TD 150FR Natural Masterbatch is a halogenated flame retardant catalyst masterbatch for use in Monosil, Ethylene Vinyl Silane Copolymer or Sioplas moisture cureable systems requiring UL-44 vertical flame performance in insulation and jacketing applications. TD 150FR Natural Masterbatch contains a halogen-based flame retardant package designed to reduce cross-linked PE flame spread characteristics and achieve a vertical wire flame performance on #12 AWG wire and larger. Application A 50% concentration of the TD 150FR blended with 50% Borealis LE 4421 EVS Resin extruded with good cable making practices will pass the necessary properties such as VW-1 flame and the requirements for XHHW-2 and RHH cables as required by the UL-44 and UL-1581. Alternatively, 50% TD 150FR can be blended with commodity LLDPE resin and 1% Monosil silane mixture and also meet these specifications. The percentage of the let-down may be optimized for a particular cable size. The processing conditions, degree of cure and size of conductor can affect the results and care must be taken into consideration by each cable manufacturer to determine the required formulations for their applications.
MHCompounds Wire & Cable TT 102 MD North America
TT 102 MD is a high performing metal deactivator masterbatch designed for use with natural polyethylene resins used to make wire and cable jackets and insulations where these products will be in direct contact with copper conductors TT102 MD Natural Masterbatch contains a metal deactivator to impart protection from copper catalyzed degradation. TT 102 MD provides effective metal deactivation for materials in direct contact with copper conductors. Applications A 2.0% concentration by weight of the TT 102 MD blended with 98% polyethylene resin when extruded with good cable making practices will make cable with an extended oxidative induction time.
MHCompounds Wire & Cable TT 102 UV North America
TT 102 UV is a high performing natural UV masterbatch designed for use with natural polyethylene jacketing resins and moisture crosslinkable systems used to make wire and cable jackets and insulations where these products will have exposure to direct sunlight and weather conditions TT102 UV Natural Masterbatch contains a proprietary blend of UV stabilizers to impart UV resistance. TT 102 UV provides effective long term UV weather resistance. Applications A 2.0% concentration of the TT 102 UV blended with 98% polyethylene resin or 98% moisture crosslinkable polymer; when extruded with good cable making practices will make cable that will retain >80% original tensile and elongation after 1,000 hours exposure in a Xenon Arc (ASTM G155) or Carbon Arc (ASTM G153) Weather-o- meter. Specifications Cables manufactured using TT 102 UV and prime polyethylene resin or moisture cure polymers in accordance with standard industry practices should meet the following industry cable specifications for sunlight resistance: - UL 2556 720 hours - CSA C22.2 1,000 hours
