Derakane® 411-350 Amérique du Nord
DERAKANE 411-350 epoxy vinyl ester resin is based on bisphenol-A epoxy resin and has become the "industry standard" due to its wide range of end-use applications and ability to be used in a wide range of fabrication techniques. The raw materials used in the manufacture of this resin are listed as acceptable in FDA regulation Title 21 CFR 177.2420 for repeated use in contact with food, subject to user's compliance with the prescribed limitations of that regulation. APPLICATIONS AND USE - DERAKANE 411-350 resin is designed for use in fabricating FRP storage tanks, vessels, ducts and on-site maintenance projects, paticularly in chemical processing and pulp and paper operations. - The resin is designed for ease of fabrication using hand lay-up, spray-up, filament winding, compression molding and resin transfer molding techniques, pultrusion and molded grating applications.

Derakane® 441-400 Afrique & Moyen-Orient
DERAKANE® 441-400 epoxy vinyl ester resin is a lower styrene-content resin that has an optimized epoxy backbone and resulting superior thermal properties and corrosion resistance performance which place it as a resin type between DERAKANE 411-350 and DERAKANE 470-300 resins. DERAKANE 441-400 resin offers superior stability compared to conventional vinyl ester resins which provide additional flexibility to fabricators in storage and handling. The raw materials used in the manufacture of this resin are listed as acceptable in FDA regulation Title 21 CFR 177.2420 for repeated use in contact with food, subjerct to user's compliance with the prescribed limitations of that regulation. APPLICATIONS AND USE DERAKANE® 441-400 resin is designed for ease of fabrication using hand lay-up, spray-up, filament winding, compression molding and resin transfer molding techniques, pultrusion and molded grating applications. This resin is recommended for fabricationg FRP storage tanks, vessels, ducts, and on-site maintenance projects, particularly in chemical processing, pulp and paper operations, including chlorine dioxide bleaching towers.

DERAKANE 451-400 resin is a low viscosity, unpromoted novolac epoxy vinyl ester This product allows the use of standard MEKP, exhibits excellent exotherm control and industry-leading storage stability. - Exceptional hot water resistance - Excellent solvent and acid resistance - Good caustic resistance - Excellent impact strength - High heat resistance - High tensile elongation APPLICATIONS AND USE DERAKANE 451-400 resin is recommended for hand lay-up and spray-up, filament winding, flake glass and filled linings and coating compounds.
Derakane® 455-400 Afrique & Moyen-Orient
Derakane 455-400 resin is an unpromoted, highly crosslinked novolac epoxy vinyl ester. This product allows the use of standard MEKP, exhibits excellent exotherm control, and industry-leading storage stability. DERAKANE 455-400 resin also contains less than 35% styrene. DERAKANE 455-400 resin offers a higher heat distortion temperature (HDT) compared to DERAKANE 451-400 resin Equipment fabricated with DERAKANE 455-400 resin will exhibit: - Excellent solvent and acid resistance - High flexural strength - High heat resistance APPLICATIONS AND USE DERAKANE 455-400 resin can be used for hand lay-up and spray-up, filament winding, flake glass and filled linings and coating compounds.
Derakane® 470-36-S Europe
DERAKANE 470-36-S epoxy vinyl ester resin is an epoxy novolac-based resin designed to provide exceptional thermal and chemical resistance properties at higher temperatures. This resin offers a high resistance to solvents and chemicals, good retention of strength and toughness at elevated temperatures, and excellent resistance to acidic oxidizing environments. APPLICATIONS AND USE Equipment fabricated with DERAKANE 470-36-S resin is suitable for such applications as high temperature flue gas desulfurization processes, industrial waste treatment facilities, metal pickling and solvent extraction processes used in mining. DERAKANE 470-36-S resin is recommended for most FRP fabrication processes including hand lay-up, spray-up, pultrusion, infusion and resin transfer molding. Its stability makes it suitable for the formulation of special coatings like flake glass coatings.
Derakane® 470HT-400 Amérique du Nord
DERAKANE 470HT-400 epoxy vinyl ester resin is a novolac-epoxy based resin, designed to provide maximum chemical resistance in combination with superior temperature performance. DERAKANE 470HT-400 resin shows outstanding resistance to strong acids, oxidizing media and organic solvents over a wide temperature range. APPLICATIONS AND USE DERAKANE 470HT-400 resin is the preferred choice for applications with high operating/upset temperatures. This resin is designed for ease of fabrication using hand lay-up, spray-up, filament winding, compression molding and resin transfer molding techniques. DERAKANE 47OHT-400 resin has a proven track record with over almost 2 decades successful use for chimney liners, quench vessels, and ducting where high temperature requirements are needed.
Derakane® 510A-40 Amérique du Nord
DERAKANE 510A-40 epoxy vinyl ester resin is a brominated bisphenol-A based vinyl ester, designed to offer the maximum degree of fire retardance") combined with enhanced chemical resistance and toughness. Since fire retardance is achieved without additives, chemical resistance is maintained and visual inspection of fabricated articles is not impaired. It offers the highest bromine content of any DERAKANE resin. APPLICATIONS AND USE DERAKANE 510A-40 resin is the preferred choice where the highest fire retardance is required and is the standard recommendation for external fire retardance layer on FRP equipment. DERAKANE 510A-40 resin is used extensively in FRP ductwork, stacks and stack liner applications, handling mixtures of air and hot gases of potentially flammable liquids. It can be used with filament winding, hand lay-up, spray-up, pultrusion, and resin transfer molding techniques.
Derakane® 510B-400 Amérique du Nord
DERAKANE 510 B-400 Epoxy Vinyl Ester Resin is a low viscosity, unpromoted, flame retardant") epoxy vinyl ester. This resin offers offers exceptional processing characteristics including little to no foaming, excellent exotherm control, and industry-leading storage stability. Laminates made with DERAKANE 510 B-400 resin have achieved a flame spread of 25 (ASTM E-84). DERAKANE 510C-350 resin is a brominated vinyl ester resin that offers a high degree of fire retardance while providing the excellent chemical resistance and toughness typical of DERAKANE resins. Optimum fire retardance is achieved when antimony compounds are added to the resin. DERAKANE 510 C-350 resin provides resistance to a wide range of acids, alkalis, bleaches and organic compounds for use in many chemical processing industry applications. APPLICATIONS AND USE Equipment fabricated with DERAKANE 510C-350 resin resists mechanical and chemical damage which enables it to be used in various caustic environments such as sodium hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide and alkaline hydrogen peroxide. It is also suitable for equipment specified to handle mixtures of air and hot gases, building panels, and flooring compounds where a degree of fire retardance is required. It is also recommended for use in FRP ductwork, stacks and stack-liner applications. Derakane® 510N Amérique du Nord
DERAKANE 510N resin is a brominated novolac epoxy vinyl ester resin that offers a moderate degree of fire retardance. It is the preferred resin the DERAKANE resin portfolio for strong oxidizers, such as chlorine and chlorine dioxide. It is also useful in hot, Wet fluegas environments vvhere thermal upsets can occur and vvhere fire retardance is desired. Derakane® 8084 Afrique & Moyen-Orient
DERAKANE 8084 epoxy vinyl ester resin is an elastomer modified resin designed to offer increased adhesive strength, superior resistance to abrasion and severe mechanical stress, while giving greater toughness and elongation. DERAKANE 8084 resin is the resin of choice as a primer to prepare a substrate surface (steel or concrete) for application of a corrosion resistant lining. It exhibits outstanding adhesive strength on different types of steel, aluminium and concrete. APPLICATIONS AND USE DERAKANE 8084 resin has exhibited chemical resistance across a broad range of acids, bases and organic chemicals. DERAKANE MOMENTUM 411-350 epoxy vinyl ester resin is based on bisphenol-A epoxy resin and provides resistance to a wide range of acids, alkalis, bleaches, and organic compounds for use in many chemical processing industry applications. DERAKANE MOMENTUM resins are a new generation of resins that can be used to improve fabrication efficiency and product quality. Their lighter color makes defects easier to see and correct while the resin is still workable. The resin's improved reactivity properties often permit an increase in the lay-up thickness per session. The longer stability provides additional flexibility to fabricators in storage and handling. APPLICATIONS AND USE This resin is suitable for fabricating FRP storage tanks, vessels, ducts, and on-site maintenance projects, particularly in chemical processing and pulp and paper operations. An alternate viscosity, optimized for some vacuum infusion processes, is available as DERAKANE MOMENTUM 411-200 resin.
Derakane® Momentum 470-300 Afrique & Moyen-Orient
DERAKANE MOMENTUM 470-300 resin is a novolac-based vinyl ester designed to provide exceptional mechanical properties at higher temperatures. This resin offers a high resistance to solvents and chemicals, good retention of strength and toughness at elevated temperatures, and excellent resistance to acidic oxidizing environments. DERAKANE MOMENTUM resins are a new generation of resins that can be used to improve fabrication efficiency and product quality. APPLICATIONS AND USE DERAKANE MOMENTUM 470-300 resin is suitable for applications involving high temperature chlorination or caustic scrubbing and storage, industrial waste treatment facilities and solvent extraction processes used in mining. It is also used for hydrochloric acid transport, tank, truck and railcar linings, and gasohol storage. DERAKANE MOMENTUM 470-300 is recommended for most commercial FRP fabrication processes including hand lay-up, spray-up, pultrusion and resin transfer molding. The higher viscosity of MOMENTUM DERAKANE 470-300 resin facilitates filament winding and contact molding applications.
Derakane® Momentum 510C-350 Afrique & Moyen-Orient
DERAKANE MOMENTUM® 510 C-350 is a brominated epoxy vinyl ester resin that offers a high degree of fire retardance while providing excellent chemical resistance and toughness. Optimum fire retardance is achieved when antimony compounds are added to the resin. Laminates made with DERAKANE MOMENTUM 510 C-350 resin have met ASTM E-84 Flame Spread "Class 2" rating (less than 75). With the use of antimony synergists, "Class 1" ratings can be achieved. APPLICATIONS AND USE DERAKANE MOMENTUM 510 C-350 resin is designed for ease of fabrication using hand lay-up, spray-up, filament winding, compression molding, resin transfer molding and pultrusion techniques. This resin is used extensively in FRP duct work, stacks and stack-liner applications. It is also suitable for equipment handling mixtures of air and hot gases, building panels and flooring compounds where a degree of ignition inhibiting properties are needed. DERAKANE MOMENTUM 510 C-350 resin resists mechanical and chemical damage enabling use in various caustic environments such as sodium hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide and alkaline hydrogen peroxide.
