InSphere® B/NL type 100B, 300B, is expandable polystyrene (EPS), the materials have a form of white spherical polystyrene particles that contain a hydrocarbon blowing agent. Their surface is coated to support processing and to prevent electrostatic charge. The product is suitable for objects intended for direct contact with food.

APPLICATION
InSphere® 300B/NL is normally expanded in discontinuous pre-expanders to achieve the low densities required in a single step expansion and good control of the density. The typical density is 11 kg/m3 but other densities are possible depending on applications and equipment. InSphere® 300B/NL is used to produce cellular bricks from a mixture of pre-expanded beads and clay, which are subsequently fired in a high temperature kiln. The low density pre-foam without lumps or agglomeration during pre-expansion make them readily mixable with clay, plaster or concrete. Also suitable as filler for bean bags and medical pillows.
