Cable Components Group’s FluoroChar® is a fully compounded or masterbatch anti-drip UL recognized Plenum insulation and/or jacket material. FluoroChar® enhances fire retardancy while decreasing smoke generation during fire testing. Fluorochar ® is designed to mitigate flaming droplets in complex cable designs with thicker walls and higher pair counts. Additionally, this compound decreases acid gas generation by 10% while burning (as determined by NES 713 toxic index testing). FluoroChar ® is available in FEP for use in UL 444 applications.

Cable Components Group’s Printable FEP is a fully compounded jacket material with modified surface chemistry. CCG’s Printable FEP compound enables direct ink-jet printing, mitigating the need to invest in laser or chemical etching equipment and processes. Additionally, CCG’s printable fluoropolymer FEP jacket can replace special order, pre-printed marker tapes in relevant applications. UL444 Plenum rated for Data-Comm and Control. CCG’s Printable FEP is available in multiple colors, including Black FEP jacket applications and other dark colors not yet compatible for FEP with UV laser printers. CCG’s Printable FEP passes UL2556 Section 7.19 Durability of Ink Printing.

Masterbatch (MBC) FluoroFoam® FEP chemically foamable fluoropolymer pellets available for wire & cable insulation. Often used in the Data-Comm and Control markets, FluoroFoam ® is a UL recognized Plenum component for UL444, NFPA 262 (UL910) and passes CSA FT6. It is intended to be blended with FEP to achieve the customer’s desired expansion rate. Additionally, CCG can provide blending services prior to shipment for a “wand-in” solution during the extrusion operation.

Masterbatch (MBC) FluoroFoam® FEP engineered fluoropolymer pellets contain a nucleating package for the physical foaming of fluoropolymers available for wire and cable insulation and jacketing material. It is recognized and utilized in the Data-Comm and Control markets under UL444. FluoroFoam® MBC pellets are intended to be blended with FEP to achieve customer’s cell size and distribution. FluoroFoam® is a UL recognized component for Plenum cables.
