Ajedium™ Films -- Halar® ECTFE Asia Pacific
Halar® ECTFE is a semi-crystaline fluoropolymer with a chemical structure of a 1:1 alternating copolymer of ethylene and chlorotrifluoroethylene. Halar® film is a strong, hard, tough, abrasion resistant film that retains its useful properties over a broad range of temperatures. Its low temperature properties, especially those related to impact, are particularly outstanding. Halar® films have demonstrated excellent weathering properties and are extremely resistant to UV radiation and common industrial and environmental pollutants. The film also is an excellent barrier to water vapor at a wide range of temperatures. This lower permeability is a key advantage in applications where protection from water, oxygen, or other small gas molecules is required.

Halar® 558 fluoropolymer is a foamable grade for wire coating, including primary insulations, coaxialcable cores, cross-webs, fire alarm cable, jackets, and foam tubing. Like other grades of Halar® resin, this grade of resin offers broad use temperature capability, from cryogenic temperatures to 150°C, and excellent chemical resistance to a wide variety of acids, bases and organic solvents. Cables incorporating Halar® 558 have met the fire performance requirements called out in NFPA 90a ("Standard for Air-Conditioning and Ventilating Systems"). To meet these requirements they must pass NFPA 262 Standard Method of Test for Flame Travel and Smoke of Wire and Cables.

Halar® 6014 is a clear, semi-crystalline melt processable fluorinated resin. It is designed for electrostatic powder coatings and is particularly recommended for use as a topcoat in protection and anti-corrosion applications. Halar® 6014 exhibits very good chemical, electrical and thermal properties. It is exceptionally pure, easily processed and has optimum permeation and flame resistance. Additionally Halar® 6014 coatings show very good surface finish and hardness. Halar® 6014F exhibits very good chemical, electrical and thermal properties. It is exceptionally pure, easily processed and has optimum permeation and flame resistance. Additionally Halar® 6014F coatings can be used to achieve higher coating thickness compared to Halar® 6014 with very good surface finish and hardness. Halar® 6514 provides optimum and rapid bonding and can be used to maximize topcoat adhesion performance.
