Tensile Properties of Film - ISO 527-1,-3

For film and sheet materials with a thickness up to 1 mm. For materials with a thickness greater than 1 mm ISO 527-1,-2 should be used.

Property Definition
Tensile Modulus Slope of the stress-strain curve between two specified strains (ε1=0.0005 and ε2=0.0025)
Tensile Strain at Break Tensile strain corresponding to the point of rupture.
Tensile Strain at Yield Tensile strain corresponding to the yield point.
Tensile Strength Maximum tensile stress sustained by the specimen during a test.
Tensile Stress at Break Tensile stress at the point of rupture.
Tensile Stress at Yield Tensile stress at which an increase in strain occurs without an increase in stress (yield point).

Two sets of specimens are tested for anisotropic materials, the first set parallel to the direction of polymer orientation (MD - machine direction) and the second set perpendicular to the direction of polymer orientation (TD - transverse direction).
