UNITREX® C30 Europa
UNITREX C30 extruded thermoplastic shapes provide users with the toughness, strength and chemical resistance inherent in unfilled PEEK as well as enhanced stiffness and compressive strength with improved dimensional stability through the addition of carbon fiber. UNITREX C30 shapes offer excellent wear resistance and a very low coefficient of friction. UNITREX C30 is available in multiple rod and plate configurations by special order. Minimum order quantities may apply, dependent on specific product configuration.
UNITREX® CM3801 Europa
UNITREX CM3801 extruded thermoplastic shapes provide users with improved physical properties compared to standard, unfilled PEEK grades through the addition of a proprietary ceramic filler. Additionally, this material offers Continuous Use Temperature of up to 480 ° F (249 ° C). UNITREX CM3801 offers excellent dimensional stability and machinability for tight pitch/small diameter drilling operations and is especially well suited for IC test socket applications. Available in multiple rod and plate configurations by special order in natural white color.
UNITREX® L Europa
Unitrex PEEK is a semi-crystalline high temperature thermoplastic that offers design engineers a truly unique combination of exceptional performance characteristics. When compared with other engineering polymers, this material ranks as the best or nearly the best in every performance category. Unitrex PEEK has a relative thermal index of 480°F and has a UL 94 flammability rating of V-0, with very low levels of smoke generation and toxic gas emission. Additionally, this material exhibits excellent electrical properties, which remain stable over a wide range of both temperatures and frequencies. Unitrex PEEK is chemically resistant to a wide range of organic and inorganic liquids and is insoluble in all common solvents. In addition, it is unaffected by steam and hot water and has a very low moisture absorption rate. This material offers superior dimensional stability and machines easily. While unfilled Unitrex PEEK offers good wear resistance, Unitrex L has been reinforced with graphite and PTFE to provide an ideal combination of low friction and enhanced wear. For applications that require improved strength and stiffness, a 30% glass fiber filled grade is available (Unitrex Rg-30). Unfilled Unitrex PEEK stock shapes are light beige in color and are available from Nytef Plastics in a full range of heavy gauge rod, plate and tubular bar sizes. UNITRON® PPS Europa
UNITRON PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) is a non-reinforced semi-crystalline polymer that offers exceptional strength and stability at elevated temperatures and is unaffected by even the harshest of chemical environments. Most acids, strong bases, fuels and even steam have virtually no affect on the physical properties of this material. While polyphenylene sulfide products have traditionally been know to be brittle, UNITRON PPS machines easily and exhibits excellent toughness. UNITRON PPS's extremely low moisture absorption rate and its low coefficient of thermal expansion contribute to this being one of the most dimensionally stable thermoplastic materials available. UNITRON PPS offers superior electrical properties, is rated UL94, V-0, and is tan in color. Nytef Plastics offers UNITRON PPS stock shapes in a wide range of heavy cross section rod, sheet, and tubular bar sizes. We recommend a melt temperature between 360°C and 380°C during the injection molding process. The mold temperature should be withing a range of 160°C and 200°C, preferably 180°C.
