Innova EPS-FR 200N Lateinamerika
The expandable polystyrene (EPS) is a rigid cellular plastic with highly versatile uses, from medicine packages to construction industry and roads. Innova´s technology uses extrusion for manufacturing expandable polystyrene beads in a uniform size, directly through micro-pelletization of polystyrene and pentane. It is an alternative to the traditional styrene monomer pelletization, which demands high water consumption. As final products, beads with up to 3-millimeter diameter, which can expand until 50 times the original size through steam use, melted and molded in the most various forms. FR 200N is a modified expandable polystyrene in the form of nearly spherical beads, containing pentane as an expanding agent and flame retardant additives (free of HBCD). FR 200N can be used in a wide range of applications including blocks, boards and profiles, thermal insulation panels and technical moulded applications. FR 200N does not contain chlorofluorocarbons and hydrofluorocarbons. Due to the use of halogenic flame retardant, FR 200N is suitable for the food packaging applications.

The typical density range is 70 to 100 kg/m3 but other densities are possible depending on applications and equipment. The beads have been specially developed for use with high speed dry moulding equipment to produce drinking cups, bowls and containers, with wall thicknesses from 0.8 to 5.0 mm and trays (e.g. seedling trays), however can also be moulded with conventional wet moulding equipment.

InSphere FC/NL type 300FC, 400FC, 500FC, 800FC and 1600FC is expandable polystyrene (EPS), the materials have a form of white spherical polystyrene particles that contain a new type of flame retardant pFR (without HBCD) and a hydrocarbon blowing agent. Their surface is coated to support processing and to prevent electrostatic charge. Due to the content of halogenated flame retardant and the residual blowing agent, the product is unsuitable for objects intended for direct contact with food. APPLICATION InSphere 500FC/NL can be moulded on both shape and block moulding equipment. It can be used to produce well fused blocks at low and medium densities, which can be cut to make insulation and construction products. It may also be used for large contour mouldings for building & construction applications. Other applications include elastified board for impact and airborne sound insulation, floor elements.
InSphere® 500FR/CZ Europa
InSphere FR/CZ types 500FR, 900FR, 1600FR and 2000FR are expandable polystyrene (EPS) in form of white spherical polystyrene beads that contain a new type of flame retardant pFR (without HBCD) and reduced content of a hydrocarbon blowing agent (pentane). Their surface is treated against gluing during processing and the formation of electrostatic charge. Due to the content of halogenated flame retardant and the residual blowing agent, the product is unsuitable for objects intended for direct contact with food.
