DESCRIPTION
Colorable flame retardant polymeric composition in pellet form, designed for irradiation crosslinking, ready for extrusion on conventional extrusion line. Cables insulated with this compound are recognized for balanced properties including excellent heat, radiation, crush, deformation resistance, and superior electrical performance.
APPLICATIONS
Cable insulated with EXCELENE 4980 is suitable for many low voltage (up to 2kV) applications, such as building wire, control cable, switchboard, marine shipboard, and oil/gas platform wire and requiring superior mechanical/electrical properties.
SPECIFICATIONS
When extruded and cured consistent with standard safe wire and cable industry practices, cables insulated with EXCELENE 4980 insulation are designed to meet or exceed the requirements as specified in the following standards.
